Entire generations were wiped away in the Mahabharata war. Almost all the main characters lost their children. They were the unfortunate generation – brave but taken away in the prime of their lives. But their glorious deeds were overshadowed by their parent’s deeds.
On Children’s Day, let us examine the lives of the Mahabharata Next Gen. We refer to many sources but would like to highlight ‘The Essential Mahabharata’, the English translation of AR Krishnasastri’s ‘Vachana Bharata’. It is a Kannada classic on the epic, translated by Arjun Bharadwaj & Hari Ravikumar. Five lucky participants have a chance to win this book.
