Wars are won by brave fighters. Planning lasts only till the first shot is heard. Kargil was a prime example of this bravery against odds. Today, on Kargil Diwas, we bring you the stories of Param Vir Chakra Awardees of India. This is the highest award for bravery. Only 21 people have received the award since independence and only 7 of them were alive to receive the award.
Who was the first awardee, who was the youngest, who died mid-air? Who died for no one and who died for another land? Learn about our brave-hearts from this 12 question quiz.
This quiz is sourced from the book “Param Vir, Our Heroes in Battle,” by Ian Cardozo.
